I love Prudent Baby, full of great craft ideas, beautiful photographs and just all around cuteness and I love this idea for handmade Valentines that your (really) little one can make! It might seem impossible to have a handmade Valentine’s craft idea for a baby, but using her genius toilet paper tube idea and a little red paint (pictured above) you can have your baby creating sweet handmade cards for everyone on their little list.
This idea is perfect for a preschool class, the prime bubble age! Download the free printable here and pick up the bubbles at AC Moore and you have an original Valentine everyone is going to love. The idea on the right is a super sweet idea for a teacher Valentine. Download the free printable here, slip in a Burt’s Bees and you have a cute and easy card for your child to share.
I’m obsessed with these little matchbox Valentines, you can find the small matchboxes at the grocery store, cut a piece of paper 2″ high (or the height of your matchbox) and about 4″ long (enough to wrap all the way around) and have your child decorate the strips as they choose. Secure it in the back with a bit of tape, fill them with candy and tuck in a little note. Wrap with string and add a name tag or first initial, they will be a big hit at school!
Even if you’re not “crafty” (I’m included in that category) this pretty wreath is easy enough to do with the kids, and you can use whatever fabric scraps you want, all red, all pink, all white or a mix of whatever you want.
Glow sticks are a great idea if you don’t want to (or can’t) send in candy treats for school, plus what kid doesn’t love glow sticks? I know mine go nuts over them, and this super easy idea from The Teacher Wife can be executed by them with very little help as well. Simply print out the free printable on card stock, tape to the glow sticks and you’re done!
Don’t be intimidated, these sweetheart cupcakes are WAY easier to make than they look. Just chocolate cupcakes, some cherry frosting and voila! Add some pink milk (Levy’s all time favorite) and you have the perfect Valentine’s Day party snack.
Tuck these cute handmade fortune cookies into a pocket on Valentine’s Day morning for a sweet surprise. Check out how to make them here.
Print these adorable treat bags right at home and slip some heart shaped cookies into them, or hand them out at a school party, they look super polished with very little work.
