My weekend started VERY early last week, school was out last Wednesday and that was the unofficial start to our weekend here at Chez Mamatoga. The last day of school called for a marathon pool session at McGregor, then on Thursday I got to spend the evening in one of my favorite spots in Saratoga, the Yaddo Mansion. It is an absolutely enchanting place and I can’t wait to see that second floor again, the view of the gardens from up there is just gorgeous. The highlight of my weekend was being able to be a judge once again for the Adirondack Appliance Cast Iron Chef Competition. This past weekend at the Saratoga Farmers’ Market I HAD to choose between Max London’s vs. The Local and Mouzon House vs. Yono’s. Let me tell you, this was an EXTREMELY difficult round to judge, each restaurant did an amazing job and I was this close to giving everyone a tie. I probably wouldn’t be asked to judge again if I did that though and I absolutely loved the opportunity so in the end Max London’s and Mouzon House came out on top and are going on to compete again July 15th at Saratoga Polo. Speaking of polo, did you know Saratoga Polo’s season kicks off a week from this Friday on July 6th? I can’t wait! I rounded out the weekend by visiting the gallery opening for the new photography exhibit I am part of at Spring Street Gallery and helping two adorable boys celebrate their birthdays…
