Mamatoga Giveaway! Gift Card to Hunky Dori Boutique

Tune in tonight to the Vampire Diaries on the CW at 8pm to catch a little piece of Saratoga Springs right on one of the main characters! Hunky Dori Boutique designer and owner Dori Fitzpatrick specializes in fashion forward hats and accessories for children and adults and works from her home-based crochet/knitting lab right here in Saratoga Springs. Leigh Leverett, the stylist at The Vampire Diaries, chose Dori’s charcoal heather grey “Crocheted Brimmed Hat” to be worn by the show’s heroine and main character, Elena Gilbert on Season 4, Episode 13 airing tonight!

vampdiaries“I wanted to create a versatile, on-trend hat for Elena or one of the other female characters; something different than the typical beanie style and that would work with The Vampire Diaries clothing style,” said Fitzpatrick. “With a chic brim and platinum-colored pattern buttons the hat is fresh, hip and stylish. I can easily see a younger girl wearing it with high boots, jeans and a button down coat for a casual day, or paired with a dress and denim jacket for a date night. It would also be super cute for a Mom running errands.”

vampdiarieshatFitzpatrick spent many hours designing, styling and crocheting the hat and is pleased her hard work paid off. “I think Elena will look beautiful in this hat,” she said. “I can’t wait to see her wearing it.”

Dori is now putting together an entire Vampire Diaries accessories collection which will include the “Crocheted Brimmed Hat” in color ways charcoal, green, black and cream (with wood buttons) along with boot cuffs (LOVE those!), a scarf and possibly finger-less gloves. The pieces will be available on her Etsy shop and you can stay in the loop by liking her facebook page.

Hunky Dori Boutique specializes in fashionable hats and accessories for children and adults. As a designer, Dori is focused on translating current trends into up-to-the-minute hats and accessories and is guided by color combinations that catch her eye, as well as the detailing of flowers and stripes. From concept through production, every Hunky Dori piece is hand-crocheted by Dori herself. I absolutely adore her hats for children, they are the perfect mix of cute and stylish.

babyhat“My designs are fashion forward, even for the little ones, and incorporate beautiful, high quality fibers plus labor intensive elements like hand-sewn felt applique and embroidery,” noted Fitzpatrick. “I do all the work myself and enjoy the challenge of designing for a range of ages. I also love doing custom work, like the Union Jack hat I recently completed.”

unionjackhatHunky Dori Boutique hats are in the hands of Bethenny Frankel, Denise Richards and Allison Sweeney, and Dori even recently submitted a pair of finger-less gloves to the stylist of HBO’s “True Blood” and is now waiting to hear if they will be used.

To celebrate having one of her very own creations being part of the Vampire Diaries tonight, Dori is giving one lucky Mamatoga reader a $20 gift card for her Etsy shop! To enter the giveaway, go like Hunky Dori Boutique on facebook and tell her Mamatoga sent you, then comment below! One winner will be chosen at random on Sunday, February 10th.
