We had such a fun weekend around town readers, we picked up our tree from Saratoga Reads! and had a great breakfast with Santa at the Saratoga Springs City Center. The weather was beautiful and sunny and we hope you all had a great weekend as well, we saw a bunch of you got your trees this weekend as well! This weekend we gave you the Pizza Edition of our Mamatoga Moms and Kids Choice Awards 2011 so vote for your favorite place to get a slice, and click here to vote on ALL of our polls so far, plus we have lots more to come! We introduced our new Book Club selection, which also happens to be the Saratoga Reads! selection for the year, check it out and read with us! And tomorrow we have some BIG news to share with you Mamatogians, we're partnering up with a great local business and it's going to be so much fun!   • Tomorrow is the Birthday Celebration at the Teen Room at the Saratoga Springs Library. Each month, they'll celebrate the birthdays of everyone born in that month, complete with snacks, sodas, and some fun/surprising info from The Secret Language of Birthdays! Open to students in grades 6-12.
  • Cornell Cooperative Extension is offering free Save Energy, Save Dollars classes at the Saratoga Springs Library. Each attendee will receive FREE energy saving items valued at $15 including a CFL light bulb. The class will explore the many ways to reduce home energy bills through no-cost/low-cost energy actions. These Workshops, conducted by Cornell Cooperative Extension, are part the EmPower New York Program sponsored by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). During these workshops attendees will increase their awareness of the actual energy cost of various components of their homes, identify measures they can take to reduce energy usage, become aware of energy programs and resources available, and develop a specific action plan to reduce energy usage in their home thereby saving dollars.
