The week is winding down now that Wednesday is (almost) over, and I just want to remind you that the voting for the Mamatoga Moms and Kids Choice Awards 2011 ends THIS FRIDAY! If you haven't voted yet go vote! Go on, now, click here and vote! Today at Mamatoga we welcomed lovely new guest blogger Robin and she shared some of the lessons she learned about When to Spend and When to Save when it comes to baby gear, and let me tell you, this girl knows her gear. I also did a Spotlight post on the Saratoga Children's Theater, they have an Improv Class and a Staff Showcase on Saturday, check out the post for more details. And as always, you can find ALL the details on upcoming local events on the calendar! This weekend there are a lot of options out there so I'm going to do a separate Weekend Sneak Peek post tonight too, check it out here! Have a great night everyone!
- Join them at the Children’s Museum for their newest program, Silly Science from 10:30-11:30am! Each week we will explore the different ways science is all around us! We will learn about water, forces, seasons, animals, and much more!
- At the Saratoga Library the Teen Advisory Group (TAG) is starting its summer reading & events planning phase this winter from 7-8pm. We need to have things pretty much wrapped up by April, so it’s time to get cracking! This past fall, it sounded like it was a good time to totally revamp & restructure the summer program for 2012, so I say, the earlier we start working, the better the whole thing is going to be.
- From 8-8:30 check out the Rebel Book Club-the only “no reading required” book club in the area! On the first Thursday of every month at the Saratoga Library at 8pm, we tackle a topic & bring books into the mix. This winter, some ideas we’re going to address may include: books from the antagonist’s POV, books that exceed expectations (or were complete disappointments), based on true stories, books based on games, food books, and games based on books & literature! Open to grades 6-12.
