Located just down Route 29 between Saratoga Springs and Schuylerville in a beautiful restored old barn is Schuyler Pond Home & Garden. I've been a fan of the shop for a while now, my Mom and I both love to stop in and find little treasures, be it something for the kids, something for the house, or something for ourselves. It's a lovely place to get lost in, the beautifully created vignettes showcase the carefully chosen items perfectly and you can weave your way around finding something special at every turn. In the gorgeous space upstairs you can find furniture, bedding, home decor, fine art prints, chandeliers and so much more. Also featured upstairs is work done by one of my favorite local photographers, Mark Samu. Mark and I met a few years back at a horse show and I just adore his equine photography. I picked up a framed Counting Jockeys print for Finn's room and it looks fantastic on his wall. The baby and kids section is absolutely enchanting, and it is definitely the number one place to stop in our area for a baby shower gift. Owner Amanda really has the perfect eye when it comes to selecting items to sell in the shop, I was so excited to see my favorite but impossible to find Maileg toys and items from the fabulous Good Home Co. My visit was topped off by getting to meet Amanda's adorable son Kellen, who woke up all smiles from a little snooze. As always when visiting Schuyler Pond it was a perfect visit, and I rushed home eager to show the kids the little gifts I had for them. I guarantee you'll fall in love with Schuyler Pond from the first time you stop by, and make sure you have enough time to look at everything when you do. Stay tuned to Mamatoga for special events being held in the shop, and to read more information about Schuyler Pond Home & Garden visit their website, and find them on facebook!
