my weekend in photos...

Friday Family Fondue & Film night was a big hit here at Chez Mamatoga. I was going to make my own fondue but after Mamatoga reader Kristi pointed out the ready made kit at Hannaford I went that route in an effort to save time. NEXT time I will definitely be making my own though, I swear. But I highly recommend fondue for a fun family meal, the kids loved it and so did we. We even came up with some rather interesting combinations, like the very popular pickle + chocolate. Surprisingly the kids didn't finish the chocolate fondue so we drizzled that over some popcorn for the film portion of the night (we watched Tin Tin, two thumbs up). The kids are already asking when we're going to do it again, and Levy was very upset that we couldn't do fondue breakfast the next day. The rest of the weekend was just as lovely, despite not having the warmest weather, and last night my mom came to the babysitting rescue and offered us a night out. Sean and I jumped at the chance (literally we jumped off the couch and got ready in about five minutes) and headed to Max London's for a laid back dinner. I love the feeling of Max London's and it always reminds me of being back in the city. I had my favorite, the chickpea polenta fries, Sean had an unbelievable lobster pizza. I absolutely love the Mixtapes & Mixology that they do there with DJ Dragonette, it's every Friday and Saturday night and I highly recommend you check it out, you'll love it. And if Adam is behind the bar order a Vieux Carre, they are exceptional.

Today has been bloodies at McGregor, a little shopping, a little walking with the brown dog and a little movie watching with the Nina. It's Monday already tomorrow but I don't mind because in less than week it will be the DERBY! Siro's here I come...
