Rainy Day Lunch at Elizabeth's Table

The rain and hail couldn't keep us away from downtown today, and we were lucky enough to snag a table at the newly opened and bustling Elizabeth's Table. I had the most divine iced chamomile tea with the tiniest hint of mint along with a nice big latte (made with soy milk) which was the perfect way to warm up. I had the vegan "chicken" salad, and let me tell you, I'm a connoisseur on vegan chicken and this was fantastic. Perfectly cooked on top of a nice big portion of fresh greens, topped off with some oil and vinegar it was just what I wanted. I love that their menu has both vegan/vegetarian and non-vegetarian options on it. Part of the problem of being a (mostly) vegan in a non-vegan family is that I either am stuck ordering the plain salad at a non-vegan restaurant or I have to drag the whole family to a vegan place where they don't find anything they want. Elizabeth's Table solves that problem, Sean got his non-vegan grilled cheese with bacon and tomato (made with local bacon and thick delicious bread) and I got my perfect vegan lunch! I can't wait to try all of their vegan and vegetarian options (the veggie burger is next on my list), I'm going to be back soon to try out their breakfast and dinner menus. The atmosphere was just as inviting and friendly as their service, and sitting there with Jack and Lev on the plush little booth side was nice and comfortable. If you've got a chance to stop by I highly recommend it, I also love that this was the second time I stopped by and the second time I ran into someone I knew there, it already has such a great little community feel to it. I'm very much looking forward to my next stop in, and Levy is looking forward to her next cupcake...
