what I'm doing this weekend...

SaratogaArtsFest starts TODAY! In its 6th year running this year's festival line-up is bursting at the seams with something fantastic for the whole family. For my Top Picks for family fun at the festival click here, and for their full schedule click right here. I'll be out and about all weekend snapping photos of the most stylish moms and kids at the festival for an upcoming Mamatoga Magazine Street Style feature, so if you see me say hello! Friday night I can't wait to be a guest judge at the Adirondack Appliance Cast Iron Chef Competition going on at the Parade of Homes Chefs on Parade Northern Tour. Not only do I get to hang out with the always fun Tom Thibeault from Adirondack Appliance, we'll also be tooling around in a limo sampling the Best Bites on offer from each Chef. Want to try it out for yourself? Tickets for Friday night are STILL available! Tickets for Chefs on Parade Northern Tour will be $25 per person which includes touring 5 gorgeous new homes plus the chance to meet the Chefs and sample their ‘best bite’. You will also have access to all 15 Parade Homes on Saturday & Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm. Tickets can be purchased at the first home you visit- 38 High Rock, Saratoga Springs. The Chefs competing in the Northern Tour round are from:

  • Jacob & Anthony's-High Rock Condominiums, 38 High Rock Avenue, Saratoga Springs
  • Lake Ridge-Bella Homes-Oak Ridge, 8 Aurora Avenue, Saratoga Springs
  • Mouzon House-Camelot Associates-Revolutionary Heights, 32 Gurba Drive, Stillwater
  • The Local-John A. Paige Contracting-Adams Pointe, One Julia Circle, Halfmoon
  • Yono's-Saratoga Builders-Schuyler Pointe, 31 Ashleigh Lane, Saratoga

Saturday is jam packed, I'll be on the streets of downtown Saratoga taking in the events SaratogaArtsFest has to offer and snapping some photos, plus I CANNOT WAIT to see if we'll have a Triple Crown Winner this year! The Belmont happens this Saturday, will I'll Have Another make history? I'll be watching all the action at the Belmont Party at Saratoga National. Starting at 4pm they will have 3 BIG SCREEN TVs set up to see if there will be a Triple Crown winner for the first time since 1978!

Sunday has the Beekman Street Art Fair featuring a juried art show with displays and demonstrations by local and regional artists. You can attend family-friendly performances under the big tent, purchase fine art and craft works, and watch a demonstration of the artists' craft. Plus when the kids get hungry you can try some tasty treats from a variety of food trucks! The art show will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and performances run from noon to 5 p.m. On Beekman St. from Grand Ave to West Circular St. in Saratoga Springs. Admission is free. Want more info?
