When you're a mom of three (or one, or two, or four, OR ANY) it can sometimes be hard to squeeze in a little "me time". Between working and making breakfasts/lunches/dinners/something remotely appetizing that the baby might actually EAT, laundry, driving to and from t-ball, ballet, horseback riding, events, activities, meetings, more meetings, the grocery store and more finding an hour or two isn't easy. And when I do, I try to make those hours count. The other week I had the absolute pleasure to stop by the office of Dr. Jeffrey Ridha for a facial and chemical peel and to learn more about what they offer at their Railroad Avenue location. At Dr. Ridha's they have a full-service medical spa that provides an array of rejuvenating procedures, including facials, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, and laser treatments. Jennifer Camper, a Licensed Aesthetician at the office, gave me a little tour and then showed me the treatment room, which was just as calm and serene as you'd want a spa room to be. We sat down, had some coffee and chatted for a while about what skincare stuff I was using and what types of results I was looking for and I swear, I could have gotten up and left after just the consultation feeling refreshed. Jennifer was so incredibly friendly and was so knowledgeable that just chatting with her was super relaxing and enjoyable.
Jennifer was gentle and thorough with the facial, and explained every little step along the way with the procedure and the chemical peel, making sure I felt comfortable. I left with a bag full of little samples to try and was so completely relaxed I felt like I had spent the entire day there lounging rather than just an hour or so.
It had been a while (and I mean A WHILE) since I had done any sort of treatments like this, and the results were truly remarkable. My skin was so refreshed and glowy and even two weeks later I feel like I can see a difference from the chemical peel in my skin tone. Now that I've had that little taste, I can't wait to go back.
Beyond the facials and laser treatments, Dr. Ridha is a double board-certified plastic surgeon and has experience treating patients with a broad range of cosmetic and reconstructive concerns. His special areas of interest include facial aesthetics, breast surgery and body contouring, as well as hand and facial trauma. In his practice he offers a range of procedures related to these specialties including tummy tucks, botox, facelifts and rhinoplasty. Also, moms? If your child gets a laceration, or a hand or facial injury with any scar potential? Call Dr. Ridha as soon as an injury occurs, and he will direct your care and meet you in the Emergency Room to ensure that the injury receives the highest level of treatment with the minimal amount of waiting time.
Besides being incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, Dr. Ridha is strongly committed to the principles of education, research and service in plastic surgery. He has written numerous publications in peer-reviewed medical journals, including The Journal of Hand Surgery, and has presented his research at local, regional and national meetings. Dr. Ridha has also traveled to underserved countries on surgical missions to provide much-needed plastic surgery care for children with cleft lip/palate and other congenital anomalies. He is an active member on the surgical staff of Saratoga Hospital, Saratoga Ambulatory Surgical Center, Glens Falls Hospital, and Albany Medical Center and maintains privileges at New York Downtown Hospital in Manhattan.
Want to try one of Dr. Ridha's procedures yourself? I'm going to be hosting an exclusive party there this summer but space is VERY limited, so email me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you'd like to attend. You can choose from a few different options to try and I can give you all the info you need. I give Dr. Ridha, his office, and staff the total Mamatoga Stamp of Approval. I thoroughly recommend you check them out, I guarantee you won't be disappointed.
