On July 28th, over 30 of our community members lost their homes in a massive blaze on Woodlawn Avenue and tonight you can support them by helping raise funds at Putnam Den. During the school year, the buildings at 100-108 Woodlawn Avenue generally house college students, but during track season they are usually home to Saratoga Race Course workers. Of the 39 tenants of the building, about 30 work at the track. Many were from Aqueduct Racetrack and Belmont Park, and relocated here for the Saratoga racing season. Everything these employees brought with them from downstate was lost in the fire. 100% of the proceeds from tonight's event will go directly to the victims.
