This weekend was an especially packed one for me. Farm Aid was in town and I was lucky enough to get to go to Farm Aid Eve on Friday and Farm Aid on Saturday while Papa held down the fort. Both of my parents grew up on farms, and keeping small farmers in business is something that is close to my heart. It was incredible to see so many people come out to SPAC for this great cause, and it was an absolutely amazing, once in a lifetime show. Sunday morning we were at Lev's first horse show and I was so proud of her, riding the little pony Honey at North Country Horses. Jack found the mud puddles immediately and kept Papa on his toes while we watched the show. I was telling a friend that when I found out I was going to have a little girl, one of the first things I imagined was being at her first horse show. I grew up riding horses, and I always wished I would have a child that would love horses as much as I do, and it is looking like Lev is that child. After she finished her class we rushed down to the Northeast Ballet Company Nutcracker auditions at Proctors Theater, and I am beyond thrilled that Levy got a spot as a gingerbread in this year's production. It was quite the special day for me and Lev, one that I will remember always.
