my trip so far...

My trip to Iowa has been incredible so far. We stopped off in NJ overnight (where I grew up) before the trip and got to have dinner at one of my favorite spots. The trip went smoothly, and seeing my Grandmother and being with her last night to celebrate her 90th birthday was something I will keep with me always. I have loved exploring her house, which is over 100 years old, the house that my father grew up in, and seeing the little knick knacks I remembered, looking through old photos I haven't seen in years, finding the old toys that belonged to my father and my aunts and uncles that we also played with as children. Her house is like a little loving time capsule of some of my most cherished memories growing up. We saw my aunt and uncle's nursery, where my uncle David grows the most amazing orchids I have ever seen (the rest of the nursery is closed for the colder weather), and had a family dinner celebrating my grandmother's 90th birthday which was yesterday. This Saturday will be the big party at the country club and the whole town is invited, I can't wait. Today we are going to my other aunt's to ride horses. Levy and her cousin Stella, just three days apart in age, are like two peas in a pod, and we keep joking about the fact that East Coast Levy is all pale skinned and dark haired while West Coast Stella is all tan and blonde curly haired. Lots of memories already...xoxoia29ia2ia3ia1ia28ia27ia26ia25ia5 ia4 ia10 ia9ia16 ia15 ia14ia13ia12ia7ia8ia18ia17ia22ia20ia19ia21ia23
