my {holiday} weekend in photos

We had a lovely and relaxing Thanksgiving, and I even decided to get a little crafty and started to teach Lev and Finn how to sew. We made some teensy acorn "place cards" for the table and a little felt banner to hang for the big day. My Mom and I hit the shops for Small Business Saturday and I kicked the crafting up a notch to make my peace wreath. I also fell in love with pretty much everything at Hidden Gardens. Jack tried out ice skates for the first time and everyone had fun (even me! My butt didn't hit that ice once, a new record!) and we made it to Ellms Family Farm to get our Christmas tree before the long holiday weekend was over. I have to say that part of what I love about Ellms is that you are supporting a family owned business, and that family is there on the farm working to make your experience a pleasant one (which it truly was for us). The kids loved taking the trolley out and tramping through the "woods" to find the perfect tree. Levy finally found it after many were vetoed by the children, and Papa made swift work of sawing it down. I'm fully in the holiday swing, can't wait for the Victorian Streetwalk this Thursday, one of my most favorite local family events. xoxo wknd22wknd4wknd24wknd23wknd25wknd3wknd5wknd6 wknd7 wknd8 wknd9 wknd10wknd11wknd13wknd15wknd17wknd16wknd18wknd14wknd20wknd1wknd19wknd2
