I used to think I could get away with using a regular bag as a diaper bag, and for the most part, it worked out. That is until bottles spilled (bye bye, vintage leather bag I bought in Paris) and I would spend valuable wiggly baby moments smoothing out diapers that would get smushed into contorted shapes at the bottom of a regular bag. That's why from now on I use a diaper bag, but I am forever in search of an actually stylish one that isn't super duper out of my price range either. Enter the Little Unicorn Brookside Tote Diaper Bag in Blueberry. At first glance (or any glance really) it doesn't look like your average diaper bag, but inside it's got pockets galore (8 to be exact, including a protective iPad pocket), a changing pad and stroller straps, and is a wipeable vegan leather to make any clean ups easy. Now, for what to put IN that gorgeous diaper bag (it also comes in a tan, hard to decide, I KNOW. Oh and ps, if you're coming to the Mamatoga Supper Club you can see these lovelies in person at the Bundle Store Trunk Show, Amber will have a couple on hand to show off). Here are a few of my essentials lately (with some local goodness thrown in as well of course):
clockwise from top left:
Get a good book and stash it in there, you never know when you might have a minute to read a few pages. A fellow mom at ballet just recommended Me Before You by Jojo Moyes. I picked it up at Northshire Bookstore and have barely put it down since.
It's almost sandal season and these are the cutest (and most durable) out of them all. Navy blue for the boys is such a cute and classic look as well.
Baby Talley loves her Blabla monkey, these knit dolls are so well made and just so darn cute, with little ears and tails to pull.
This rattle is too adorable for words. Find it locally at Lex & Cleo.
The prints on these swaddle blankets have me swooning! The poppies! Find them locally at The Bundle Store.
Speaking of the Bundle Store, you need this nursing cover in your life. Forgot those bulky apron looking ones and check out this super soft, super easy to use one that also doubles as a scarf you would actually wear.
Accessorize your tote with this tiny butterfly baby toy so you always have something cute to distract a fussy baby with. Find it locally at Lex and Cleo.
Another shout out to my favorite baby food. Find it locally at Healthy Living Market and Cafe.
I love the Pura Kiki line, and this toddler sippy is a great transition from a bottle. Like all products in the Kiki line, the toddler/sippy bottle is 100% plastic-free so you can be sure you are getting the safest, BPA-free and toxin-free bottle on the market. The new, patent pending XL Sipper vented soft spout is crafted from 100% medical-grade silicone and is tinted blue to aid in the transition away from a nipple. Find it locally at The Bundle Store.
I can't help but monogram a sweet little bib. Find some of my favorites here.
Mustela sunscreen and Honest Company wipes round out my absolute must haves. Wipes and baby sunscreen are two things you don't want to be caught outside without.
