13769470_1095654977181734_7470939787236536259_n Cuddle Bugs Consignment Boutique is probably my favorite place to shop locally, I always find great deals in great condition for all of the kids (and I swear I have the best shopping mojo for finding Hanna Andersson and Lily Pulitzer stuff there too), so I've known owner Kim for a while now. When I heard she was opening up Wiggle Worms Playland I knew it would be just like Cuddle Bugs, exactly what a mom needs and wants for kids. Mamatoga: What inspired you to open Wiggle Worms Playland?

Kim: I have three kids - Emma, age 7, Aiden, age 4 and Lillee, age 15 months. We reside in South Glens Falls along with my husband and two cats! I have a degree in restaurant management and opened the first Cuddle Bugs Boutique in 2010 shortly after Emma was born. The second store in Queensbury was opened after Aiden was born in 2012 and our last consignment shop along with Wiggle Worms was opened just after Lillee turned one in 2016.

As a mom of three kids I've found it is really hard to find good places to take little ones to play. There are a few places for older children but nothing for really young ones. Now that I have Lillee, my 15 month old, I decided it was time that someone opened a playland in my area. It's not always convenient for me to travel down to the Children's Museum at Saratoga from Glens Falls and that seems like the only other place appropriate for kids under three. Furthermore, there seems to be a real lack of activities available for those younger kids. It was my goal to not only provide a safe, fun place for little kids to go but also a full calendar of great events and activities for them to partake in.

What can parents expect when they visit Wiggle Worms?

I designed Wiggle Worms with my children in mind - a dress up area for my princess Emma, trucks and tools for Aiden and a baby play space for Lillee. We also have a play store, diner, house area, doctor's cart, education station, giant blocks, play cars, and of course slides, a castle and a mini roller coaster! A little something for everyone. The area is completely gated in so you don't have to worry about kids wondering off. We have tables just outside the playland if you want to bring a snack or lunch with you. We also have light snacks and drinks available for purchase. You can come for the whole day or just a quick twenty minute trip. (Don't forget to bring your socks!).

Any exciting events coming up that you would like to share?

We have just started hosting weekly playdates for kids of all ages from babies to preschoolers. These groups meet every week and activities involved are included with the admission to the playland. We also have our Sensory Saturday where we have a theme each weekend and have a whole room full or crafts and sensory activities centered around the theme. This weekends theme will be the rain forest. Once a month we host a pregnant mommies group for moms to meet other moms in an informal setting. If you're into shopping, this Sunday we are hosting 19 LuLaRoe consultants for a huge LuLaRoe event. The first fifty kids who come to play get in free to the playland and can play while you shop. Every other Friday we are hositng a Family Pizza Night from 4:30-6. You can relax while the kids play.

We have an entire calendar of activities planned each month which you can view on our website ( or on our facebook page. You can also subscribe to our facebook events to see when new ones are posted. We do ask that you RSVP so we know who to expect and have enough materials for all!

We've also been hosting some great birthday parties lately. Two hours of fun includes up to ten kids, the birthday child and their siblings. It's very affordable and requires no clean up for the parents! We event have an events coordinator on staff to help pick and theme and plan the party.

We say six months through six years but I've seen nine year olds playing with their younger siblings having a great time. We have lots of puzzles and board games available to older siblings who do not want to play in the playland. We offer a reduced price to crawling babies and have a special area just for them. Our baby playgroup meets on Tuesdays at 10am and is a great way for new moms to meet other new moms in the area.

We're always open to new suggestions on events people want to come to or things they'd like to see inside the playland.

Thanks so much for chatting with Mamatoga, Kim! We'll see you at Wiggle Worms! xoxo
