Every year, dancers (and their parents) in the Northeast Ballet Company production of the Nutcracker at Proctors decorate pointe shoes to be raffled off at the Nutcracker Tea at SPAC, and this year Levy and I worked together to make this little beauty.
I can't tell you enough how dedicated these dancers are, and I see it first hand at rehearsal drop offs and backstage on show days. They put in long hours and long days all because they love to dance and they love to help create a magical experience for the audience. From the tiniest little Gingerbreads up to the Sugar Plum Fairy, they are all so invested in the performance, and it is truly inspiring to me. These dancers are living their dreams up on stage and man it just makes me tear up to even think about it every year.
If you are at the Tea this weekend, please enter the raffle to win our shoe (or any of the other gorgeous creations) and help support Northeast Ballet Company, they are helping make these dreams come true for these dedicated dancers. Click here for more info on the tea, and we''ll see you on Sunday! xoxo
