You guys know how much I love my Book Club (HEY LADIES!), and recently we had our annual holiday party. There was one book that we still can't stop talking about, click through to find out what it is...
This isn't a new book, but it was new to all of us when one of us suggested it. Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty is set in an Australian suburb and focuses on three women, all of whom have children at the same preschool.
Right from the start (no spoilers here) you know someone is going to wind up dead, but you don't know how or who or why, and this page turner keeps you guessing and falling in love with characters and laughing and rooting for them and just all around loving this book.
“If you're looking for a novel that will turn you into a compulsive book-finisher look no further. Moriarty has produced another gripping, satirical hit...It’s can’t-put-downability comes from its darker subplots...A book that will make you appreciate the long days of summer.”—Oprah.com
"Reading one [of Liane Moriarty's novels] is a bit like drinking a pink cosmo laced with arsenic...a fun, engaging and sometimes disturbing read…Moriarty is back in fine form."—USA Today
And sort of the best part? If you read it now you'll be ready for the new series based on the book coming up on HBO with Reese Witherspoon (we seriously cannot wait).
