We have a LOT of new stuff here at Mamatoga readers! We continued our Preschool Series with a feature on Malta Montessori and gave you all the details on how to have an awesome party for your child at the Children's Museum at Saratoga. We had two posts by contributing authors, one by Jenn from Earthy Crunchy Mama on the true cost of cloth diapering and one by our contributing fitness author Jeannine on getting started on at-home fitness! Whew! We also wanted to give all of our readers a heads up to check us out on the cover of the Spirit of Saratoga magazine hitting newsstands on Black Friday, plus you'll be seeing a lot more of us very soon, we can't wait to share the details with all of you!

  • Children’s Museum – Alphabet Soup from 10:30-11:30am.  Join us for our newest weekly program, Alphabet Soup! Starting with the letter A, each week we will learn a new letter of the alphabet through crafts, games, stories, songs and more. This multidimensional language experience is a fun way to reinforce early literacy in preschoolers!
  • Saratoga Spa State Park – Tree Identification Hike from 11-12:30pm.  Hike along the Hemlock trail and identify the native trees. Learn how to find out a trees age by counting the rings. The hike is approximately 1 mile long. Bring tree identification books if you have them available.  Registration is required and all ages are welcome. Fee is $3 per person or $5 per family.   • Moreau Lake State Park - Turkey Trail Hike from 10-1:30pm.  In the sprit of the holiday come and enjoy this moderate hike that scales half-way up the Palmertown range and will be led by a naturalist.Registration is required, call 793-0511.
