The Caroline Street Elementary Gala: Thursday, May 29th at Prime at Saratoga National

gala254_2088523529_nIf you live in Saratoga and have kids, chances are your kids have played on the playground at East Side Rec at some point. I know we have been there countless times as a family, but did you also know that playground is actually the playground for Caroline Street Elementary school? The current playground, located on School District owned land at the East Side Recreation Field is approximately 20 years old and out of date, and since the entire community at large uses the playground, located at the corner of Caroline Street and Granger, the Caroline Street PTO is asking for support from everyone to raise funds to purchase a new playground. But they don't want to just ask for help, they want to do it in the most fun way possible, with a great gala at Prime at Saratoga National! Thursday night is a perfect date night, and Prime always delivers on a great night out. You can't ask for more than delicious food, open bar and the gorgeous backdrop of Saratoga National. Plus, the MC of the evening will be local legend Garland Nelson who never fails to get people on their feet and dancing. A silent auction will be part of the event as well, and you can bid to win horseback riding lessons, a golf package from Saratoga National (Father's Day gift alert!), a YMCA membership to keep the whole family in shape and much more. What will I be bidding on? The five-course tasting with wine pairing for two from Javier's Nuevo Latino Cuisine in Saratoga, that sounds AMAZING.

Tickets will be available at the door tomorrow night, and the entire community is invited. Make your date night out this week a night to help build this community playground, I hope to see you there!
