My Floral Fete Photos

Last night's Floral Fete was just an incredibly magical night. Walking down Broadway with my family and seeing all of the people that came out to see the parade was a very moving experience, and it made me love this city even more. I was honored to be a judge for the parade, but it was one of the hardest jobs I've ever had to judge because everyone really went above and beyond. From the bike swan with sunflower eyes that blinked to the woman who made flowers out of old betting tickets everyone's effort blew me away. There was even a woman who had a medallion that her great grandfather in law wore in the Saratoga Floral Fete in 1899 when he was the Grand Marshall of the parade. And the tennis court guys?! I loved that! The party at Canfield Casino was perfect, and to top it all off by a special nighttime ride on the carousel...it was a night that we will never forget. We really have a special community here, and the Floral Fete was a perfect way to celebrate that.
