When Jack started tennis lessons this summer, I wanted to find him a little pair of white shorts for the courts. No can do. I literally could find zero shorts that were just plain white and didn't have a logo, character or a design on them. The only white shorts I could find were in the girls section, and usually frilled up with some lace or scalloped edges or a bow. Until I found Primary.
I have to admit, I'm not a huge fan of logos on children's clothing in the first place. I don't mind a fun design or pattern, stripes or some crazy illustration, but I don't want my kids to be walking billboards with GAP splashed across the front or a giant pony logo on their shirt. Also, with kids clothes, I don't feel like spending a ton of money on a simple basic like a t-shirt or a polo shirt just because it's from a certain brand.
Primary is great because it is well made, logo-and-character free kids clothing in some great basics to mix and match with affordable prices (everything is under $25). And even though they technically have things separated into "boy" and "girl" stuff, since the pieces are just basic colors with no frills or designs, you can buy your girl that "boy" colored hoodie she's been wanting without it having some sort of character on it or design (or in my case, a little pair of white shorts free of any lace or bows for your boy).
These basics make them easy to mix in with any wardrobe, we are going to be adding in a bunch of leggings, a few hoodies and some long sleeve tees to balance out the back to school/early fall weather (and I LOVE the pjs!). Plus I really like the idea of getting a whole bunch of things in every color of the rainbow and matching them up in a bright combo, who says basic has to be boring? Oh and p.s., they have baby stuff to!
One thing I didn't even realize? This brand is PERFECT for Halloween costumes, OMG! Find them on Instagram here to see some really incredible (and incredibly sweet) costume ideas.
