Maple Weekends 2016

#ee8614(1)Pancakes anyone?! How about pancakes with the freshest maple syrup you can get? Maple Weekend is coming up and I've got the scoop on what it is and where to go.

Maple Weekend, which is organized by the New York State Maple Producers Association, began in 1995 in Western New York as “Maple Sundays.” The goal of the weekends was to educate the public about New York’s maple farming processes and traditions and to provide a chance to taste pure maple syrup in its many forms - right from the source.

Maple Weekend happens all across New York State, at approximately 160 farms, museums and other sites. This year there are two chances to experience Maple Weekend: March 19-20 and April 2-3, 10am to 4pm each day at most locations.

Tours and product samples are offered at most sites free of charge and below you will find a listing of the participating Maple Weekend farms that are close to us here in Saratoga.
