I've admitted it before, and I'll say it here again, I'm kind of clueless when it comes to beauty products. I basically use the same stuff I've used since high school (yes really) and have absolutely no idea what to buy when I go into a Sephora. So my beauty "routine" is fairly basic: blush, black eyeliner, rosebud salve, that's pretty much it.
And then I found Glossier.
I've been hearing about Glossier for a while now, founded by Emily Weiss (please tell me I'm not the only one that remembers her from The Hills...) it's the "cool girl" makeup line with a die hard following that I assumed was overpriced and not for me. I was SO WRONG OMG. Enter ---> Boy Brow.
Had I ever used any "brow" products (besides a tweezer) before? No, but the reviews won me over with this product and I had to try it. Did I want "boy eyebrows"? Apparently I do, because literally from day one of using this I was like "HOW did I live without this?!" It somehow pulls your entire look together in a not-overly-done yet still polished way and sometimes I feel like I don't even need eyeliner. Now, usually if I skip eyeliner I get the "Are you feeling alright? You look tired" comments, but with Boy Brow I look like I have something on but you can't pinpoint it, but I definitely don't look tired and washed out. It's perfect for moms like me who need to do something to not look like death but don't have time/don't really wanna wear a lot of makeup. I went with the "brown" color, and a little bit goes a long way.
I also love love LOVE the Cloud Paint (I tried Dusk) and currently have like seven more Glossier products on order. I'm officially addicted.
My second newest favorite has crunchy granola written all over it. No wait, actually it has "Vibes" written all over it (which, YAY) and is hands down the BEST natural deodorant I have ever used. I was highly, HIGHLY skeptical when trying this all natural, chemical and aluminum free deodorant from Rad Soap Co. (which, btw, was founded by a mom locally in Cohoes, NY, so bonus points there) but I quickly became a convert and I only hope they never discontinue it because it is THE BEST. Is "Oatmeal and Vanilla" a scent I thought I would want a deodorant in? Um, no. But it is such a sweet and subtle scent (it also comes in Bergamot Lime, Cucumber Flower and Green Tea) and this stuff really works. It's a liquid spray, which, again, I found a little weird, but through thick and thin Vibes has not let me down and it is now firmly placed on my Must Haves list. Also? At just $8 it doesn't break the bank like some other naturally formulated products can. That's some good vibes right there.
